Eight businesses will be inducted into the prestigious Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame at a dinner to be hosted at the Silverstream Retreat, 3 Reynolds Bach Drive, Lower Hutt on Friday 23rd August, 2019.

      Businesses are inducted annually to recognise and celebrate the diversity and dedication that they contribute to the economy. The Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame focuses on the delivery of business excellence in a resilient and sustainable manner over a decent length of time.

      All nominees have been in business for at least 20 years and are independently judged by a panel where eight were selected as outstanding business inductees for 2019.  This year's inductees are:

       

      Coastlands Shoppingtown:  a key part of the local shopping landscape for over 50 years

      Flight Plastics:  an innovative plastic and packaging solutions provider for almost 50 years, leading the way in PET recycling.

      Hansells Masterton:  food manufacturing and packing specialist operating for over 80 years.

      Hills Hats:  retail supplier of quality hat collections made in NZ since 1875.

      LG Anderson:  specialising in containers and general freight transportation for over 60 years.

      phil&teds:  award winning, world leading inventors and designers of juvenile products (from booties to buggies) for over 20 years.

      Sharpes Stockfeeds:  high quality stock feed supplier operating for 120 years.

      Wedgelock Equipment Ltd:  designing and manufacturing world-class excavator attachments since 1994.
