Some form of project management exists in virtually every industry. This one-day workshop provides an overview of project management which will get you on track to reach the project goal.
This workshop is based on the international Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)—a guide that serves to provide and encourage a common terminology.
Intended Audience:
Managers and staff who are charged with setting up a project and seeing it through to the end. No prior knowledge is required.
Topics:
- What can be classed as a project?
- Scoping of a project – what to include and what to exclude
- The phases of a project and what to do during each phase
- What to do if you run out of time, money or resources
- Risk management and understanding stakeholders
- Monitoring and reporting
- Closing a project and hand over
As a result of attending this one day training participants will:
- Plan for a successful project
- Create a project scope – what’s in and what’s out
- Identify the project life cycle, mitigate risks and plan budget contingency
- Implement projects steps and complete project reporting
- Understand the needs of stakeholder groups
