We have the fantastic opportunity for students to meet and hear a presentation from Luke Rowe, Mental Skills Coach for the Hurricanes. This is very short notice and I apologise for this. However, we didn’t want to turn the opportunity down, as some students may find this talk particularly valuable. You do not need to stay with the students, leaving and collecting them will be fine. Although if you would like to listen and meet Luke, you are more than welcome! We cannot promise any players will be accompanying Luke, but they may them along if they get chance.

Wednesday 9th June 10am till 11.30am   Hutt Chamber of Commerce offices

It would be suitable for any young person who is very sporty, or interested in a career in psychology.

Topics covered will be:

Positive mental wellbeing, especially creating this in a team

How to manage the pressures that come with playing sport and negative feelings

Staying positive about themselves, understanding their “why”

How they have taught their players to cope with the pressures involved with high level sport

Due to the short time frame, we wiil be taking registrations on a first come, first served basis. There may be an opportunity later in the year to hear from Luke again, but we cannot confirm that at this stage.

If you could please email registrations through to our Event Coordinator, Annette Wasson, at as soon as possible, this would be hugely appreciated.
