Inspiring Stories from exceptional Women!
Some of the best lessons we can learn are those we are taught through the experience of others.
With so many inspirational female leaders in our community, join us to be inspired by their stories.
Cathy Sheppard | CEO/Founder | BSI People Skills
Cathy is your workplace expert, team building guru and people specialist, and all-around dynamo. Cathy lives and breathes what she does, with nothing exciting her more than seeing her clients grow and develop. She loves going out over the weekend to recharge, whether this is out in nature, or around the dinner table with friends and family.
Cathy comes backed with a wealth of experience, both nationally and internationally. She is a world-class people leader, empowering people through igniting leadership at every level of organisations. This passion and drive stems from the fact that until now, Cathy has taught people aged 0-80 in 5 different countries. Her knowledge transcends cultural bounds, with people and relationships being at the centre of everything.
Sally Duxfield | Director and Author | Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre
With over 30 years of experience in the experiential leadership and programme design world, Sally helps her clients, entrepreneurs, peak performers, elite sports teams and industry leaders to develop extraordinary culture, hunt down and achieve dreams, and articulate the extraordinary. She intuitively identifies strengths, both individual and team; she inspires individuals and teams to build a litheness for opportunity by exploring and understanding the neurophysiological response to stress and the detriment to peak performance and wellbeing.
Justine Storey | Orange Fox
Justine was a communicator for more than three decades. Starting in journalism when manual typewriters were a thing she wrote for newspapers, local community papers, trade magazines before moving into PR for the advertising industry in London. She worked in internal comms teams, media, digital and then stepping into leadership roles of communications and marketing teams for several national organisations.
In 2020 she qualified as a Breakthrough and Abundance Life Coach and started Orange Fox, working with people dissatisfied in their work life to uncover a career that works for you. She is at her best when supporting others to recognise their value and sense of purpose.
A proud self confessed crazy cat lady who once qualified as a Thai Massage Therapist, taught salsa and swam with sharks (not all at the same time but all are true) who is unable to answer a simple yes/no question without giving you the full backstory.
Sue Kefali Pattinson | Women of Worth
Sue is the founder of the charity Women of Worth that was launched in the Hutt Valley and is expanding nationally. She originally comes from Glen Innes in Auckland and lives in Pinehaven with her husband. They have 11 grandchildren who are the most important people in their lives.
Sue's father was Turkish and came to NZ as a refugee from Yugoslavia at a time where there was little support for those who had been displaces and suffered from PTSD.
From her background she understands the importance of prioritising Wellbeing and Mental Health which is also the space WOW is having an impact in. Sue credits the success of WOW to the incredible WOW team who are passionate about women's wellbeing and the difference this makes for them and their families.
