CERT NZ works alongside other government agencies and organisations, to support businesses, organisations and individuals affected by cyber security incidents.
AVOIDING ONLINE SCAMS
With the current COVID-19 pandemic rapidly unfolding around the world there are a number of things that we need to be aware of in the online world. CERT NZ is closely monitoring the situation and preparing regular advice to help individuals and organisations alike in being resilient.
- Attackers using COVID-19 themed scams
- Staying secure while working from home
- Enabling staff to work remotely – this guide is designed for small and medium businesses that don’t have internal IT departments. It may help your members develop a process to work through to prepare their business and staff for remote working.
Many organisations are making the move to cloud services like Office 365, which negates the need for a VPN client, meaning more staff can work remotely at any given time. Whilst cloud services bring about many benefits, it does also change the security landscape for an organisation. These guides include key things to consider when using cloud services.
Through this difficult time, please report anything cyber-suspicious to CERT NZ – the more information we have the better we can provide advice to other New Zealanders.
