More than 50 people from the business community joined us to learn about the free NZQA training on offer through the brand new Business Training Programme.
Chamber President and business owner Mark Skelly introduced the programme and how it can help business owners upskill their teams. Two common barriers to staff training and development are often time and cost. As these courses are online, they can be studied any time, anywhere, so the training is easily accessible and as the courses are free, cost is not a barrier.
Dr Caroline Seelig from Open Polytechnic outlined how to register for this free NZQA training and Chris Hipkins, Minister of Education spoke of the importance of upskilling employees to help with labour shortages.
This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and their teams to upskill at no charge in Level 3 and Level 4 Certificates in: Small Business, Management, and Administration & Technology.
