Cake It Forward Adapts To The Changing Alert Levels
When the move to Level 3 was announced, we decided to protect our bubble and our customers by keeping our shop closed and doing online orders for contactless delivery. Fortunately we have a registered home kitchen so we could work from home.
“It’s such a relief to have made the decision and the online orders poured in, especially with Mother’s Day happening during Level 3. We delivered our cakes, treat boxes and foodie gifts out to our Cake it Forward customers across Wellington.”
One of the highlights we had during this time was for a surprise 90th birthday, where family gathered from all over the world on Zoom to celebrate. The other was a little boy’s dinosaur party where pairs of cupcakes were delivered to 30 guests who enjoyed them together over a a Zoom party.
“We’re so glad we made the decision we did. Success is all about adapting and doing what feels right for you.”
When you buy a cake from Cake It Forward (or book a decorating class or cupcake party) you help them to ‘Cake it Forward’, donating birthday cakes to kids with a parent in prison and supporting other great causes. See the One News story here.
