Christmas at the Cossie Club

When we announced our “Covid Quiz”, Hon Chris Hipkins, our Remutaka electorate MP looked a little concerned, but soon relaxed once he realised he knew all the answers to our light-hearted quiz!

It was a real fun evening full of laughs and a great way to put 2020 behind us.

As is our yearly tradition, instead of giving our Partners and Supporters a thank you gift, we donate to the Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt Food Banks on their behalf. 

We were pleased to donate both food banks $1,500 each to help support our community over the festive season. In addition, the Upper Hutt Cossie Club kindly donated a further $500 to the Upper Hutt Food Bank, through the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce’s fundraising initiative. They also donated two bottles of wine which we gave away as spot prizes. 

Thank you everyone for your generous donations to our local food banks

Although we ask those attending to bring a single item to donate to our local food banks, many of our supporters bought bags of groceries to add to the food banks kitchens.

Our Gold Partner, Spark Business Hub Hutt-Kapiti generously donated a new mobile phone to each of the food banks and Chris Carson, winner of the Hutt Valley Chamber’s major prize of a food basket (packed full of locally produced goodies) graciously donated his prize to the Food Bank.
