Dwayne has worked closely with Hutt City Council on the development of this proposed policy, aimed at helping to fund infrastructure. Supported by Hutt City Councillors Wendy Moore and Gary Craig, Dwayne gave an in-depth account of what these proposed changes mean and the monetary impact to the property development sector in particular. After the main presentation the room was split in two, with each group given the opportunity to look more closely at several key aspects of the proposed policy, pose questions and give their input.
It is important to the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce that the voice of business is heard. We are preparing a submission to Council on the proposed Long Term Plan which includes the changing charges to property development fees, with feedback from this workshop.
