RiverLink Update - Consent has been Lodged
Acting CEO and Hutt Valley Chamber President Mark Skelly caught up with the RiverLink Project Team to discuss the latest progress on Lower Hutt’s biggest infrastructure project in history
Consent lodgement is a milestone in the project, following on from a huge amount of research, collaboration and planning over several years. With the resource consent now lodged, RiverLink is gaining further momentum, on target for construction work to begin early in 2023.
If you are unsure on what RiverLink is all about, you’ll gain a good overview of the project from watching this livestream replay from 2 September 2021.
RiverLink’s Project Director Tom Newson gave an overview of where the project is at currently and what’s coming up next. Tom was joined by Hutt City Council Project Manager – Tom Biggin, NZTA Project Lead – William Wallace and Tracy Berghan from Greater Wellington Council.
The submission period is currently open and closes on Wednesday, 22 September 2021 at 5pm. If you would like to submit a formal submission you can do so here.
