Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Platinum Partner BNZ are pleased to bring back our BNZ Technology & Innovation series event. 

The event is free for members using their registered member business name. 

Focusing  on local businesses that are leading the way in science, technology, and innovation right here in the Hutt Valley and Wellington region. 

This session is hosted by BNZ and are an opportunity to network with like-minded people from our business community whilst showcasing three speakers sharing what their organisations are working on.

SPEAKERS 

Mario Wynands | CEO | PikPok 

Mario Wynands is the CEO and co-founder of PikPok, a leading publisher of video games for mobile, desktop, and console based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Since 1997, he has led the studio in building a successful Rival Stars® Horse Racing, Into the Dead® and Into the Dead 2, Super Monsters Ate My Condo™, Shatter® and more, which have been recognised with BAFT and DICE Award nominations, as well as included on App Store and Google Play best of year lists. Wynands is a graduate of Victoria University in Wellington with degrees in business management and computer science. 

Cameron Mexted | Managing Director | Mexted Sports Turf 

After working for Mexted Sports Turf for a number of years, following a career with Downer, in 2020 Cameron and Jean Mexted became owners of the family business, with Cameron as Managing Director. Cameron is our ideas man, always looking for new opportunities and pushing the business forward in new and exciting directions. 

Simon Howard | Founder & CTO | ZX Security

Simon Howard, CTO and founder of ZX Security has been active in the New Zealand information security space for almost two decades. He is a member of the New Zealand Internet Task Force (NZITF), which is a non-profit with the mission of improving the cyber security posture of New Zealand. Simon also co-founded and assists with the running of Australasia’s largest hacker conference. Kiwicon (recently re-branded Kawaiicon). The conference brings together like-minded individuals to discuss the latest advancements in offensive and defensive Information Security tools and techniques. 

Simon holds a number of cyber security advisory positions outside ZX Security and has completed the Institute of Directors Companies Directors Course.
