East By West has operated the Wellington Harbour Ferry service since 1989, and is part of Metlink’s public transport network. We run three passenger ferries between Days Bay, Queens Wharf and Matiu/Somes Island, including Ika Rere; the first fully electric passenger ferry in the Southern Hemisphere (also locally built in Seaview).
We also make the ferries available for private group excursions/transport, as well as offering BBQ charters, cocktail/canape functions, and a dry hire option.
